Whether it's battles on the recruiting trail, subtweeting between head coaches or extra practice periods designed to pay off in late November, a significant amount of each program's—and its fanbase—offseason energy is often spent on its rivals.
That holds particularly true in the Big Ten, which is home to some of the sport's most prominent rivalries. Some are long and storied, while others are relatively new. Regardless of which category they fall in, it's hard to find a week in the conference without something on the line each fall.
