Ohio State 34, Navy 17 — Final
Keenan Reynolds and the Navy Midshipmen gave No. 5 Ohio State a scare, but the Buckeyes regrouped in the second half and surged for a 17-point victory.
J.T. Barrett was shaky early, but he bounced back and finished with a solid outing in his first career start. The redshirt freshman completed 12-of-15 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns (and one interception) to complement 50 rushing yards.
The Buckeyes gained 420 yards total (194 on the ground) and scored the game's final 14 points.
Navy's vaunted triple-option attack confounded Ohio State's defense. The Midshipmen piled up 371 rushing yards, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Turnovers and poor clock management crippled their chances, though, allowing the Buckeyes to win their 25th consecutive regular season game.
